Based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, Dr. Armen Yekyazarian, founder of Elysium Counseling Center, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, and life adjustments. Dr. Yekyazarian is a client-centered, solution-focused, integrative therapist. His treatment approach draws largely from cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic models.

 

Dr. Yekyazarian's passion stems from the therapeutic work that he conducts. His goals include creating a warm, collaborative, and supportive environment for his clients, while also helping them move towards living meaningful and fulfilling lives. He strives to help his clients gain insight, improve self-esteem, and develop more effective solutions to life’s many challenges. Through validation, support, and detailed therapeutic work, Dr. Yekyazarian utilizes his clients’ inherent strengths to promote growth and maximize potential. He helps his clients find the strength to break through personal barriers and improve their quality of life.

Dr. Yekyazarian received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. He then went on to pursue graduate training in psychology and subsequently received a Master of Arts degree, as well as a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. His previous clinical experiences include providing therapy services to clients in individual, couples, and group settings in both English and Armenian. Dr. Yekyazarian welcomes new and existing clients to Elysium Counseling Center.
